PDF Conversion

Global Office Find And Replace program allows you to convert to pdf as the final step in the process. When you click on the Convert To Pdf button in Step 3, the background will turn green, and the program will place a pdf document along side the converted document in the same directory where the output document was placed.

PDF conversion is performed AFTER any find replace operations (If any).

If you select Overwrite Original Files, the PDF document will be placed in the same location.

Most functions of Global Office Find And Replace do not require you to have Office installed on the computer. The PDF conversion DOES require for MS Office to be installed for this feature to work. In fact, the program will check for an installation of Word, Excel or PowerPoint, and if none of them is installed you will not be able to use this feature.

Adding a watermark

When you click on Convert To Pdf the "Add Water Mark to PDF" screen opens, and you will have the ability to add a watermark to the final PDF (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

If you don't want to add any watermarks here, leave the watermark text blank and simply click the Save And Continue button. You will see the background color of the Convert To Pdf button change to green in step 3.

If you do NOT want the pdf conversion to take place, please click the CANCEL PDF CONVERSION button at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This will cancel the PDF conversion.

You can select the following options:

  1. Watermark Text: Type in the text you want to use for your watermark such as "Confidential", "Preliminary" etc. If you don't put any text in here, no watermark will be added. Simply click the Save And Continue button.
  2. Change Font: By default the software selects Calibri. Click the button to change this with our Font Picker. The current font is shown next to the button.
  3. Font Size: Default is 90. You can change this to whatever value you want.
  4. Bold: Set the font weight to bold for the watermark.
  5. Italic: Italicize the font of the watermark.
  6. Angle: Set the angle of the watermark as it appears on the page. Default is -45.

Trial and Lite versions

The Trial version of the program will write the words www.officefindreplace.com (trial) into the PDF file, and GOFR Lite will write www.officefindreplace.com (lite). Your own watermark text is not used in these versions. Please purchase a license to remove it.

In the trial version a message about this is shown when you click Save And Continue. Check Don't show this message again in that message if you do not want to see it next time.
