Drag & Drop

Drag and Drop functionality is available in steps 2 and 4.

Step 2

Step 2 has 2 buttons, Add Folders and Add Files, which can be used to select various files for the find and replace operation. Instead of using them you can drag the folders and files in.

The program is of course intended to be used on massive number of files stored in folders on the operating system, but you can also select individual files.

You can drag and drop multiple files and folders into step 2. Multi-select is allowed.

When dragging something into step 2, please drag the files and folders into the large area which is bounded by a thin line, that contains all the various buttons and messages that comprise step 2.

When you drag an object over step 2, note that the background will change the color from black to blue.

When dragging individual files, make sure that they agree to the check boxes selected in step 1.

If for example you selected "Word" documents for operation in step 1, but you drag an Excel file over step 2 the background will turn red because this is not permissible. When you drag several files at once, the background is blue as long as at least one of them is a folder or agrees with step 1; the files that do not agree are left out.

Step 4

You can drag the output folder into step 4 instead of clicking Select Destination Folder For Results. Drag one folder only: the background turns blue for a single folder, and red for a file or for more than one item.
