Review and Select Specific Files in Folders
This screen can be reached by clicking the Review Selected Files for operation button in step 2 of the main screen. The button appears once some files are loaded.
This screen allows you to review the files in the folders you selected in step 2, as well as the individual files, in a typical tree view. Normally it is assumed that the entire folder will be used for a find and replace operation. This screen allows you to examine the files that you will perform the find and replace operations on, and perhaps make some adjustments. You can remove the check box that is in front of a file name OR an entire folder, and this means the file / folder will not be used for the find and replace operation.
Checking or unchecking a folder checks or unchecks everything in it, which is a convenient way to select and unselect many files at once.
The message at the bottom of the screen shows the total number of files loaded and how many of them are selected.
Your changes are saved as you make them. Click Save And Close when you are done.
There are two buttons at the bottom of this screen for your convenience:
- Export File List – this exports your files to csv. The file has two columns,
FilePathandUseFile;UseFileis a value of True or False depending on if you wanted to use this file for processing or not. - Import Negative File List – this button will allow you to import a list of files (
.csvor.txt) which you do not want to process. The file name with its full path has to be the first column; a first line containing the word "path" is treated as a heading and skipped. During the import the software will check against the current loaded file list and turn off processing for those files that it finds to match in the negative file list.- You can verify that the file process is turned off by navigating the tree structure where the check box for the files in the negative file list is "off" (unchecked).
- The message in the main system window step 2 should reflect the number of files properly.
